It’s Foodhub Freshers week! We’re celebrating by sharing some tips and tricks to help get you through your first week as a fresher! But don’t worry, our tips are also suitable for refreshers!
Foodhub’s Foodie Hacks!
It would be rude for us to not kick off with some Foodhub approved food hacks! Swipe to learn more!
- Have some leftover pizza from the night out before? We all know it is totally acceptable to have pizza for breakfast during freshers week! Add a microwave safe glass of water into a microwave along with your slice of pizza for two minutes and be able to relive the taste of freshly made pizza!
- More of a cheesy chips kinda person? We don’t recommend using a microwave for this one! Instead, heat up some oil in a frying pan and wait for it to get hot and add your leftover chips into the pan. The fresh oil added will help to crispen up those chips again and banish the soggy chip!
- Ran out of pitta on your kebab but have meat left? Bring in the breakfast of champions- the kebab omelette! using the spare meat from the early morning trip to the kebab house will give you some protein while helping to nurse that head!
No leftovers? No worries! Use the code FOODHUBNEW and order your morning after the night before’s craving!
Advice from our Marketing team!
We understand just how much of a change starting university can be, so we’ve asked some of our friendly Foodhub employees from the marketing department what advice they would give to students!
Here’s their short but sweet tips:
Harriet, Head of Brand:
“Make friends, step out of your comfort zone but organisation is key!”
Pav, Brand and Partnerships Executive:
“My advice would be to look out for each other, have a good time and make sure you find a good balance between fun and education!”
Emma, Brand Manager:
“Enjoy the little moments as much as the big, always ask if you need help and be kind to everyone you encounter, including lecturers who make you attend 9am classes!”
Nick, Marketing Director:
“Remember to take time for yourself as well as your friends, enjoy learning as much as being sociable!”
