“Now is the time to take action because there’s no alternative,”
says Boris Johnson, the British Prime Minister.
Similar to many European countries, England is also in for a new COVID-19 lockdown until the 2nd of December. Pubs and restaurants will shut unless serving food for delivery or collection, while all leisure and entertainment venues and non-essential shops will close once again.
The more stringent measures demand nothing less, but the UK residents stay at home unless it’s a necessity. By restricting socialisation, the UK government is taking all the measures necessary to contain the Coronavirus spread for the 2nd time.
The latest steps initiated is an effort to get things under control so that the upcoming festive season with Christmas and New Year celebrations can be spent more safely and comfortably.
As a socially responsible organisation, Foodhub will still continue to work with its restaurant partners making sure food is available for click & collect service or contact-free delivery to customers for a better, safer and healthier society.
With the new restrictions in place, Foodhub has introduced more discounts and coupon codes for the UK residents, ensuring that our restaurant partners do not take a toll during these unprecedented times.
Here’s how it works…
When you place an order through Foodhub, you do not have to pay a service fee, the restaurant would not be charged a commission unlike our rivals. All vouchers offered via Foodhub would be paid by Foodhub, not by the restaurant.
We are doing our best to help the takeaways and restaurants in need. Do you know any local pubs, cafes or restaurants struggling to survive as a result of the pandemic outbreak?
Perhaps offering delivery or click & collect service would help keep the doors open and staff at work. Suggest they Join Foodhub and we will help them get by during these tough times. These are unprecedented circumstances, let’s all do our part to help our community.
